Cabinet Refacing
Re-facing is a great way to give your kitchen
cabinets a new look.
What to expect:
There are several different approaches you may take
when deciding to re-face your existing cabinets.
1. If
your cabinet doors, drawer fronts and face frames are in good shape
you may want to only change the color. Paint can be repainted,
stain can be painted and sometimes stain can be re-stained but only
to a darker color. If your cabinets are stained and you want them
stained a lighter color we would need to cover your face frames with
a thin unfinished veneer and order new doors.
2. If
your face frames are in good shape but your doors and drawer fronts
are either dated, damaged, or both; new doors and fronts can be
ordered. We offer several different options: MDF door with a
thermofoil finish is available in several different finishes; face
frames would be painted to match. Paint grade doors and front are
available in MDF, poplar, birch, maple and ash. Stain grade doors
are available in all common wood species.
